2023 Veteran Baskets for local VA hospital

EMKS is honored for the 5th year to bring seasonal cheer & make our annual Holiday totes for the residential and inpatient Veterans at the C.W. Bill Young Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in St. Petersburg, FL.
One of our company's highest priorities is to support our local Veteran community. EMKS team members volunteered their time to plan & put together the gifts.
These customized totes contained essentials such as manicure sets, dental sets, lotion, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soap, chap stick, back-scratchers, combs, socks, and hats. In addition, we added some fun goodies, including crossword puzzles, word searches, sudoku books, notebooks, playing cards, stress reliever balls, pens & assortment of delicious snacks.
After the volunteers put the gifts together yesterday, they used SUVs and trucks to deliver the filled totes to the hospital in time for the holiday weekend. EMKS looks forward to the many opportunities throughout the year to let our service members know we appreciate them.

Reading about the veteran baskets for the local VA hospital was heartwarming because small acts of kindness can mean a lot to people who served their country. It reminded me of a school donation drive where we packed care items for a community centre, and everyone felt proud to help.
