Jessica Marshall

As the Director of People and Culture, Jessica has been responsible for building and designing EMKS’s Human Resource (HR) Department from the ground up. She leads all strategic HR efforts, including drafting policies and creating procedures, as well as overseeing all aspects of the department. She continually collaborates with the entire leadership team to support company planning, strategy, and growth. Jessica also actively seeks and implements creative ways to engage our geographically dispersed staff, allowing them a chance to connect and interact with one another on a routine basis through fun company sponsored activities.

 

Jessica’s duties are vast and wide-ranging. To highlight just a few, she creates content for the company’s social media accounts, develops marketing content, plans company events, identifies and applies for company certifications and awards, organizes community donations and charitable events, and manages the quarterly newsletter, which she designs, writes, and distributes.

 

Prior to joining EMKS, Jessica was a team lead and supervisor for various companies, overseeing both in-house and overseas teams, running payroll, fixing account issues in various operating systems, and working as the lead trainer. She honed her diverse skillset as an intern at the Pinellas County Heritage Village Museum where she assisted in all aspects of collections management. This included cataloging, preservative conservation, accessioning and deaccessioning, updating and organizing inventory, and preparing exhibit mounts for display, along with labeling, tracking, and cataloging collections.

 

Jessica earned a Bachelors of Arts in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with concentrations in History and Anthropology. She is a Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), and Veterans at Work SHRM certified. She has also been recognized for excellence in her field as a Silver winner in the 2023 and 2024 Stevie® Awards for Great Employers, Human Resources Professional of the Year, and as a Bronze winner of the 2022 Stevie® Awards for Great Employers, Human Resources Professional of the Year.
